Located in a rural area, this hostel is right in the middle of the park, offering a charming and historical atmosphere. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with ensuite bathrooms and amenities like bedside reading lights. the staff is friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. the breakfast is delicious and satisfying, with a variety of options including cereals, full English, and toast. the hostel also has impressive grounds to walk around and relax in.
The mobile network at the hostel is very poor, and there are no takeaways nearby for hot food.

This hotel is a real gem in a stunning area. The location on the outskirts of Castleton is perfect for enjoying walks up to Mam Tor and through Winnats Pass. The value for money here is outstanding, with prices that won't break the bank. The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the refreshingly non-creaky beds with bunk beds for children to play, to the preserved original hall style which adds a touch of history to the experience. The breakfast provided is hearty and delicious, setting you up for a day of exploring.
All was just fine, no complaints.

I had a wonderful stay at this unique hostel in a charming location surrounded by stunning countryside. The building itself was a renovated castle, which added a touch of charm to the experience. Despite the low price, there were surprising bonus amenities like a dining hall, reading room, and a field for children to play in. The bunk beds were well-designed with cubicle storage and individual plugs for each bed station. I also appreciated the availability of a water fountain for refilling water bottles. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, providing great value for money.

Awesome Christmas stay! Perfect location for amazing walks in the area. The huge bathrooms were great and the food was delicious, especially the pizza. The vast grounds were perfect for exploring and discovering wildlife, especially the goats and sheep. The staff were really friendly.
The bunk beds were uncomfortable and difficult to climb in and out of. , the lighting up the driveway was really poor, making it difficult to walk up at night.

We stayed in a room close to friendly pubs, the bus stop, and the nearest shop. the room and bathroom were clean and decent, and the staff was pleasant. Facilities for self-catering and onsite food options are available. We enjoyed the basic yet hearty breakfast and dinner.
Only one flat pillow was provided, which was not comfortable.

I stayed in a cozy room with bunk beds, which were a bit less comfortable but definitely worth the great price. The location of Yha Castleton Losehill Hall was perfect for a short break, as it was close to the pub and had easy access to walking trails in the Peaks. The staff were welcoming and helpful, even making pizza for us when we arrived late and hungry. The hostel had a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a beautiful historical building as its setting. I would highly recommend this hostel for any walkers in the Peaks looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. I had a great experience and would recommend this hostel to others.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, with double beds and separate showers and toilets, just like in the original hall. The attention to detail in maintaining the historical charm of the building is impressive. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast that was served, it really set us up for the day!

As a family with young children, we had a wonderful time at Yha Castleton Losehill Hall. The bunk beds and personal lights in our room gave the kids a fun camping-like experience. The beautiful location, complete with sheep, added to the charm of the place. The grounds and building were stunning, and we enjoyed a peaceful evening with wine outside. The staff were friendly and informative, and the cleanliness of our room was top-notch. Easy parking and a short walk to the center of town made exploring convenient. We will definitely be returning!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The staff were friendly and approachable, always happy to give you directions to the nearby sights and attractions. the room was clean and had a warm atmosphere that made it easy to relax. the location was a great starting point for exploring the area, with plenty of hiking trails and scenic views. the late checkout option was also a great advantage, giving us ample time to freshen up before leaving.
The single bunk beds were quite uncomfortable and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. the lack of tea making facilities in the room was also a letdown, as we had to spend extra money and time to obtain our morning cuppa elsewhere.
